Welcome to Vigil. By downloading, installing, or using the Vigil mobile application ("App") or our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Vigil, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Vigil. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have received parental or guardian permission to use this App and agree to these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use of Services
- Authorized Scans Only: You must only scan email addresses that belong to you, or email addresses for which you have received explicit written consent from the owner to audit.
- No Automated Queries: You agree not to run automated scraping scripts, bots, or bulk-query tools against our backend APIs or Cloud Functions.
- No Tampering: You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or attempt to bypass any rate limiting, security checks, or App Check tokens implemented in Vigil.
4. Referral Program and Abuse Policy
- Fair Use: You may share your referral code with real individuals.
- Prohibited Behavior: You are strictly prohibited from generating fake accounts, using emulators, virtual devices, automated registration scripts, or temporary email addresses to redeem referral codes.
- Consequences of Abuse: We actively monitor device IDs and registration patterns. Any detected fraud may result in account termination, cancellation of earned credits, and device or IP restrictions.
5. Subscription and Vigil Premium
- Premium Features: Certain features within Vigil may be designated as Premium. Access to these features requires a valid subscription or purchase.
- Payments: Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. You agree to comply with Google Play policies regarding payments, renewals, and cancellations.
- Refunds: Refund requests are governed by Google Play Store policies and must be initiated through the appropriate Google Play support channels.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vigil and its developers (PAHUMAN) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the App.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of New Delhi, India.
